Hello! If you're reading this, you're probably using a Windows version and want to check out whether QSIEVE works for you. If you have a Linux box, you are encouraged to compile QSIEVE from the sources and run it under Linux. As a Windows user you're invited to install Cygwin and compile QSIEVE from the sources, too. But I know, that most people using Windows are not familiar with the procedure of compiling packages on their own. So I've put together the binary versions for your convenience. (They should work on most modern 80x86 machines, cmov instructions must be supported.) QSIEVE has been released as Open Source under the GPL (GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE). This means, you can download the source code, modify it, and distribute it under the terms of the GPL. If you're only using these binaries, you're somehow stuck on your own. This package is *not* an official release of QSIEVE and will never be! I'm not willing to provide binary versions for every new release of the source package! The cygwin1.dll is taken from the current Cygwin snapshot and provided for your convenience; the sources can be downloaded from the Cygwin website. In compliance with the GPL, I provide source tarballs also on my download page. See - "COPYING" for the license - "README.source" for further information about QSIEVE and how to run it - "http://www.thorstenreinecke.de/downloads/" for releases of QSIEVE - "http://cygwin.com/" for the Cygwin release Please do not redistribute this binary package to the public, as I'm not going to provide any further support for binary versions. If you want to distribute a binary package of QSIEVE, you're invited to compile one on your own using the source release. Please keep in mind, that if you want to install and use this package, you must accept the terms of the GPL! Have fun, Thorsten e-mail: reinecke@thorstenreinecke.de last change: 2004-11-08
